The 5th annual CRFC Fall Combine Competition will kick off the 2026–2027 season hosted by Rollon Corporation on November 14th. This event offers teams the opportunity to put their robotics engineering to the test, to win trophies and prizes, and to earn their seeding for the Playoffs in the Spring.
Calvin aims to repeat last year's Combine Championship, while Notre Dame and Valparaiso look to return to glory. Ohio Northern, however, has won 3 straight National Championships and looks to set themselves up with strong seeding en route to their potential record 4th consecutive National Championship. Teams like Penn State, the Naval Academy, Catholic University of America, University of Evansville and more are looking to build on some successes from last year to jump in as a cinderella story and bring home some hardware as well!
Notre Dame, Valparaiso, Calvin and Ohio Northern currently sit in a four‑way tie with one Fall Combine Championship each; the winner in 2026 will take the lead in all‑time championships for their school. Fans can expect thrilling performances and innovative engineering as teams put their robots to the test for the Fall Combine Champion Trophy and a number 1 overall seed in the Playoffs.
This year, the festivities will be hosted at Rollon Corporation in Norton Shores, Michigan and will only be open to active teams and volunteers.
